And so, farewell

Please listen to every single line of the lyrics in this song before you read on. Only then you'd understand.

You know when you have so many questions running on in your head and your intuition tells you things you don't wish to believe and then that person just come and confirms all your doubts and those hypothesis you have? Yes and you start to cry and cry and cry.

Then come those days you just want to curl up likka ball and just be alone. And when being alone is too much for you to even take it, you find solace in replaying the pretty days spent together. It is as though its an emergency exit out of the whole rollercoaster of hurt, disappointment, disbelief and anger altogether. Everything will remind you of what used to be. Everywhere you turn, there's traces of that person left behind.

The photos, the presents, the letters, the memories are left untouched after he's no longer around. Days before everything went upside down, you sat on your bed reading those little notes he sent, looking at the gifts he gave, reminsicing the moments seen in the photos, feeling very euphoric and blessed. Then you kept it all in a box. It's like as though something is telling you to put in everything associated to him in that pretty lil box. Little did you know he'll take his leave in the days to come, leaving you in a whirlpool of emotions.

When the thought of the way he smiles, how he calls you countless times a day, his voice and the way he talks, what he loves to eat, how passionate he is about the sports he play, his favourite line, how he'll always tickle you with his lame jokes come creeping in your head, you'll start to smile so wide while crying helplessly. And then you're reminded by how retarded he can get, those things he likes but you just cannot agree with, how he always drives you nuts, the way he gets angry when you mention something he dislikes, those times he makes you worry with the injuries he get from playing his favourite sports, how he'd whine like a little kid when he complains and it just got you sitting down there with whispers in your heart saying 'how much I'd give just to go through everything again'.

You then start to wonder when did you both drift apart, and why everything change in a blink of an eye. You'll be in a state of denial. Since it was just yesterday he told you he loves you and when you told him you're afraid, he said not to worry because you'll never lose him. And because you thought that just like after every argument, things will be okay the next day and that no matter what happens, he is just too kind to simply just go. After reality slaps you so hard in the face, then you start remembering what he said before he went away;

"I'm no longer the person you knew. I've changed. I don't have feelings for you the same as it was before. I'm sorry. You'll be fine. Thank you for everything."

He sounded cold and harsh. That is when you realise he is not putting you to a test like how you did to see how much he likes you.

All you could say to that was goodbye. He left, he's gone. And there you are,still helpless and hurt.

You sleep late at night and find yourself waking up so early in the morning. You wish you could just turn back time. And correct what went wrong. Soon after, you start accepting the fact that none of that would happen. Yes, so little did you know things would turn out this way, thus there's still so many words left unspoken, so much feelings being kept in.

Because no matter how hard you scream, the words you want to say to that person will never reach his ears. He's no longer around. Physically similar but distinctively different. Let go my dear and let God.
